Servant

Wherever there is an upper class there are those in the lower classes whose job it is to serve them. These are the maids, footmen, butlers, bearers and so forth that are an invisible but indispensable part of the lives of the wealthy and highborn. Nearly all of these individuals work for households in the Inner Wheel.

Skill Proficiencies: Perception and Insight if honorable or Deception & Sleight of Hand if criminal

Equipment

Elegant uniform, pouch containing 5gd.
If criminal - bag of 6 stolen candlesticks worth 10gd each and stolen silverware worth a total of 20gd.

Feature: Unseen

Servants learn to blend in with their environment. They are expected to do their jobs without calling attention to themselves. This allows them to conduct themselves in such a way as to not be noticed or memorable. It is a kind of social invisibility. It makes it easy for them to eavesdrop or move through a crowd without anyone reacting to their presence.
This is a learned behavior - not magic. It only works when the character is dressed as observers would expect someone in the area to dress and that they do nothing to attract the attention they are trying to avoid.

Feature: Gossip

Given about a week, a servant can ingratiate them into the “society” of servants in a large household, gaining access to any gossip of what goes on there.

Characteristics

Servants tend to be quiet but what goes on behind that silence varies greatly. Some are glad to have work in a nice house. Others resent the rich and powerful and having to serve them to survive. Some of these become criminals who use their position and access to make extra money on the side.
